Shiv Khori, is a famous cave shrines of Hindus devoted to lord Shiva, situated in the Sangar village, Pouni, near Reasi town in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. Lord Shiva made this cave from his trishul (trident) in order to avoid demon Bhashmasur when he was chasing after him. He resided here for some time with Goddess Parvati and Nandi. Shiv Khori gufa divides itself into two parts:In this cave there is also a cave which directly go to Amarnath cave. It is now closed as some sadhus who dared to go ahead never returned. The other cave goes to swarg. After crossing narrow passage, main cave area comes where sanctum sanctorum is situated.Shiv khori has just 3.5 kms track so it will not be a problem for anybody. Horses/pitthus can be taken for INR 365/- per person for round trip. The Holy cave is more than 150 mts long & houses 4 feet high Svayambhu Lingum, which constantly baths in a milky lime fluid dripping from the ceiling. The cave is full of natural impression & images of various Hindu Deities & full of divine feelings. That is why Shivkhori is known as "Home of Gods". For long Shiva ji continued postponing . Finally on consistent demand from Maa Parvati He made up his mind to tell the immortal secret . He started for lonely place where no living being could listen it . He choose Amarnath Cave. In Reasi district, there are many shrines such as Mata Vaishno Devi, Merhada Mata, Baba Dhansar, Siad Baba. Shiv Khori Yatra. In order to visit the Holy Shrine of Shivkhori one has to reach village Ransoo. The viallge Ransoo is connected via Road with Jammu, the winter capital of the State Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu city is well connected with the rest of Country via Air, Rail & Road. Hindu mythology depicts Lord Shiva as an eternal being, beyond time and space. As such, age does not apply to him in the same way as to mortal beings. Hinduism's time is cyclical, with each cycle consisting of four ages, known as the yugas. The timings for Shivkhori are 5 AM to 7 PM (Summer). The timings for Shivkhori are 6 AM to 6 PM (Winter). A holy foot of Maa Kali is also visible on the body of Lord Shiva. Visitors need to trek 4 km from Ransoo to reach Shiv Khori. The trekking route is so breathtakingly lovely that one will not find it hard to walk in such an atmosphere. This 4 km-long trek can be done either on foot or by hiring a pony.

Pick up Jammu & go to bhave wali mata. Night Jammu.

Day 2: Shivkhori
Jammu to Shivkhori to Mansar Jhil. Night Jammu.

Day 3: Jammu to Back Drop
Jammu local market visit & after this drop Jammu station.
